Directions to Quistinic, Langoëlan.
The following directions are a guide and it is recommended that you also have a French Atlas.
Please note that there is also a town called Quistinic, this is NOT the direction you should take. Follow the signs/routes to Langoëlan and Quistinic is a small hamlet on the outskirts of Langoëlan.
Approximate Travelling Times from the Ports
- St Malo - 2 hours
- Roscoff - 1.5 hours
- Cherbourg - 3 - 4 hours
- Caen - 3 – 4 hours
From St Malo follow the roads listed:
- N137 - towards Chateauneuf d’Ille-et-Vilaine
- N176 - towards Dinan/Lamballe
- N12 - towards St Brieuc
- D10 - at Yffiniac turn left at the junction just off the slip road and follow signs for Quimper
- D700 - towards Plaintel come off at the 1st main junction (D790) signposted Malakoff/Rostrenen
- D790 - follow this road until you reach Corlay which you have to turn into on your left, this will take you onto the main street in Corlay and a little way up on the right hand side is a turning (D44) to Plussulien/Laniscat
- D44 - follow this road which changes into the D76 to Gouarec. At the junction by the petrol station turn left, at the first roundabout turn right and the second roundabout left onto the D5
- D5 - follow this road for about 15 minutes, you will pass a restaurant Le Amorocain on your right and approximately 2 miles further you will come to a crossroads (signposted Cleguerec to your left and Seglien to your right), turn right by the pub Le Lion and follow this winding road into the village of Seglien. You will pass the church on your right and the post office on your left. As you drive out of Seglien take the road on the right by the cemetery. Follow this road for approximately 3 miles until you reach a T junction, turn right and follow this road into the centre of Langoëlan. You will see a Bar/Creperie La Musee on your left and the church on your right, turn right on the far side of the church and follow the road signposted to Silfiac. Take the second road on your left by the house with the small lake and Quistinic is up the hill and the first turning on your right.
From Roscoff follow the roads listed:
- D58 - past Roscoff towards Morlaix
- D788 – Close to Saint-Pol-de-Leon take the D785 - towards Pleyber-Christ
- D58 – At the roundabout take the 2nd exit continue along D58.
- N12/E50 – Close to Morlaix take N12/E50 towards Brest/Quimper/Lorient/Carhaix. Take exit towards D785 – Penn-Prad/Quimper/Lorient/Sainte Sere/Pleyber Christ/Carhaix
- D785 – At the roundabout take 3rd exit and continue along D785. Pass by Pleyber-Christ
- D764 – At the roundabout take 3rd exit and continue along D764.
- D148 – At the roundabout take the 1st exit and continue along D148.
- D48 – At Kergloff take D48.
- D769 – Close to Carhaix Plouguer at the roundabout take 1st exit and continue along D769.
- N164 – At the roundabout take the 1st exit and continue along N164 towards Rennes/St Brieuc/Guingamp.
- Turn right into Rostrenen go over a mini roundabout and take the turning on the right D790 towards Plouray/Guemene Sur Scorff.
- Approximately 2 miles out of Rostrenen is a turning on your left D23 signposted Guemene Sur Scorff, take this road and follow it through the village of Bonen, after approximately 15/20 minutes you will come to the village of Langoëlan.
- Turn left at the church and follow the signpost towards Silfiac.
- Take the second turning on your left and Quistinic is up the hill and the first turning on your right.
From Cherbourg or Caen:
- Make your way down towards St Malo and pick up the N176 near Chateauneuf-d'Ille-et-Vilaine. Then follow directions as above for St Malo.
